Gmail’s ‘Got the Wrong Bob?’ Feature Keeps You From Emailing Nude Photos to Your Mom [Gmail]
I found this on the internet: Gmail’s ‘Got the Wrong Bob?’ Feature Keeps You From Emailing Nude Photos to Your Mom [Gmail]
Google Labs has a new feature that you can turn on in Gmail. It works by analyzing groups of people that you usually email together. For example, if you accidentally include your boss Hank in with your normal key party invite group when you meant to invite country singer Hank Williams Jr., well, Gmail will ask if you meant this Hank instead of that Hank. This will in turn save you a boatload of awkwardness (or a magical night where you learn more about your boss than you ever thought possible, but that’s neither here nor there).

Laptop battery myths
I found this on the internet: Laptop battery myths
The “memory effect”, or the need to “refresh” or “deep-cycle” the battery by completely discharging before recharging, is stale knowledge from the time of NiCad and NiMH batteries. Lithium-ion batteries don’t suffer from the memory effect.
It’s also not bad to leave your laptop plugged in. In fact, it’s a good thing to keep it plugged in whenever you don’t need to be running on battery power.

The temperature of romantic love
I found this on the internet: The temperature of romantic love
He took the thermometer from her and glanced at it quickly. “Normal. No germs here. It would be perfectly safe to kiss you.” He pulled her up into his arms.
That’s a passage from the final page of Barbara Bonham’s novel called Diagnosis Love. The Judgeabook blog remarks: ” I really hope that thermometer was in her mouth.”
NOTE: This novel should not be confused with the identically titled novel by Donna Wright, in which (the publisher informs us) the heroine “was suddenly knocked to the ground by an energized pot-bellied pig”, at which point:
Convinced things could not possibly become more awkward and embarrassing she looks up to see the handsome Doctor Alex Price arrives on the scene just in time to see her haphazardly sprawled on the cement.
